Through our Health Service Support Contract (HSSC), Calian provides and manages Healthcare Service Providers (HSP) on behalf of DND at hospitals and clinics on military bases across Canada.

HSSC is a dynamic contract. We currently employ over 480 HSPs and we are always recruiting candidates for a variety of positions across the Country.

Once an HSP is hired, Calian representatives work with both the DND clinic staff and the HSP to ensure that quality healthcare is delivered, and that the working arrangements are mutually beneficial to both parties.

In the majority of the HSSC positions, shift work, overtime and/or on-call work is not required. This has a positive impact on the health service provider's quality of life.
