About the role:

    The Staffing Consultant is expected to lead and facilitate all staffing activities that will result in the successful selection of qualified candidates. The SC will support PO Team Leads and the overall AEPM business transofrmation activities by providing specific services that will include but not be limited to the following:
  • Prepare staffing packages(s) to create position (prepare WD, Classification requests, language profiles)
  • Prepare National Procurement (NP) to Salary Wage Envelope (SWE) business cases in specific format
  • Assist in the preparation of staffing documentation (Statement of Merit Criteria)
  • Participate in the screening of applications and preparation of related reports
  • Prepare rating guide, test questions and interview questions
  • Contact applicants to arrange interview and test schedules
  • Coordinate and participate in the selection interview boards, as appropriate
  • Manage all scoring data from administered tests
  • Conduct reference checks
  • Create final report for departmental Human Resource Officers; preparation, quality assurance and management of candidate pools
  • Prepare post board reports as required
  • Coordinate follow-up interviews with board members to determine "best fit"
  • Liasie with ADM (Mat) Community Management Office to determine where staffing efficiencies cab be achieved for Engineering (ENG) and Purchasing Group (PG) positions
  • Coordinate the review of Statement of Merit Criteria documents with departmental Human REsources Officers', incorporating review feedback as required
  • Coordinate the staffing of positions through departmentla Human Resource Officers'

The qualifications:
  • Currently hold a Secret level security clearance
  • 4 years within the last 8 years of Staffing experience
  • Have a minimum of 2 years' experience (in the last 5 years) developing and reviewing Human Resources Strategies
  • Have expert knowledge in developing staffing policies, guidelines, procedures and tools
  • Experience providing advice and recommendations on workforce process
  • A University Degree or College Diploma in a related field OR
  • Completion of a professional development program in personnel administration or HR
